2025 Student Leadership Retreat at Happy Valley, Santa Cruz
Mathematics Science Engineering Achievement (MESA) Programs brings students from all over CA to Happy Valley in Santa Cruz.The leadership retreat at the Happy Valley Conference Center in Santa Cruz brought together 125 MESA students from 37 colleges. The event featured engaging workshops on Arduino programming, an evolution game, a natural history walk, renewable energy labs, leadership and networking sessions, as well as intention setting and mindfulness activities. Students also completed hands-on projects in chemistry and engineering design, explored the Mystery Spot, and participated in a STEM-athlon. The beautiful setting enhanced the experience, and the photos captured the vibrant energy and collaborative spirit of the event.
